Privacy policy
This site collects very little. Here is exactly what, why, and how to ask me to remove it. Last updated 12 October 2026.
Who runs this site
abhaysingh.dev is run by Abhay Singh, trading as Emergent Insights (sole proprietorship, GSTIN 07DZCPS3689P1ZB), based in Goa, India. When this page says “I”, that is me.
What I collect
Browsing the site needs no account and collects nothing from you. The site has one form, the newsletter sign-up. When you use it I store your email address, the time you signed up, and the IP address and browser type of the request so I can tell real sign-ups from automated ones.
The “Email me” and WhatsApp links on the contact page open your own mail app or WhatsApp. What you send there is handled by those services and lands in my inbox or chat like any other message.
How I use it
- Your newsletter email is used to send you new articles, and nothing else.
- The IP address and browser type are used only to detect abuse of the form.
- I do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone, except where the law requires it.
Where it is stored
Sign-ups are stored in Google Cloud (Firestore) under my own Google Cloud project. Only I can read them. I keep them until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.
Cookies and analytics
The public pages set no cookies. The only cookie this site ever sets is a sign-in cookie for my own admin area, which only my account can obtain. If I add analytics (Google Tag Manager is wired up but not switched on), I will say so here and describe what it records.
Your choices
To unsubscribe, reply to any newsletter email or write to me, and I will remove your address. You can also ask me at any time what I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it. The quickest way is email: abhay523@gmail.com.
Changes
If the site gains features that collect more, this page changes first. The current version is always at this address, with the date at the top.
