Introducing my portfolio: Goals for this year

As a data analyst and data scientist in the marketing and advertising industry, I've always been focused on using my technical skills to analyze and automate marketing data. However, I've also had a fascination with web development and the ability to build useful tools that can help people in their daily lives. That's why I'm excited to introduce my first website, showcasing my skills and interests outside of my day-to-day work.

Over the past four months, I've been hard at work learning new skills in web development, including React.js, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS. I've built a variety of applications, ranging from to-do apps and event planning tools to fake blogs, all through online tutorials. However, this website is my first foray into building a production-ready site, and I'm excited to share it with you.

My primary goal for this website is to showcase my newfound web development skills while also highlighting my background and experience as a data analyst and data scientist in the marketing industry. I want potential clients and collaborators to see my expertise in both areas and understand how my technical skills can be applied to real-world problems.

In addition to showcasing my skills, I also want this website to be useful to visitors. That's why I plan on
adding a variety of tools and resources that I believe will be valuable to anyone interested in data analysis, marketing automation, and web development. From tutorials and code snippets to blog posts and case studies, I'll try to create a one-stop-shop for anyone interested in these topics.

Looking forward, here are my goals for this website in the coming year:

  • Add a comments section and user logins to create a more interactive experience for visitors and practice building these features
  • Create a dedicated projects page, showcasing some of my favorite web development and data analysis projects
  • Do a complete implementation of Google Analytics 4 on the site, using Google Tag Manager to track user behavior and optimize the site's performance

I welcome feedback and suggestions from visitors and look forward to continuing to evolve this project in the coming year.
